Testimonials

September 23, 2011:

Peace & Blessings Ozzy & Jarvis.

I am without words when I think of your unyielding commitment, dedication & passion that you both share for such a heartfelt cause.

Thank you both for taking a moment out of your busy day to meet with my clients, medical team and family members on the evening of September 14th. Each and every person that was in attendance is committed to educating and thereby empowering our community….beginning @ home with our own Consumer Advisory & Advocacy Board (CAAB).

I speak on behalf of my Ryan White Team, when I say that we are committed to the “Good Work” demonstrated through H.O.M.E…while we simultaneously continue to do “God’s Work” as his servants…for He is the voice of our HIV/AIDS program (His ministry).

We recognize this is our Calling….the Lord’s Will & Purpose for us….and thereore, our “POSITION”. It is with a discerning spirit that we are able to see beyond the politics, barriers and uneducated mentalities that should have long been involved and supportive of your organization’s mission, purpose and Presence in within our community.

Nevertheless, I also recognize that WE have a greater work to do…

So….it is written…where two or three come together on one accord in His Precious Name….(you know the rest)

Jarvis, it was truly a pleasure meeting you. I look forward to being your partner-in-crime…as God continues to use each and every one of us to educate a Nation….beginning in Fredericksburg.

By the way, I found out that I was in Great company last week….Pastor! (smile)

Ozzy, I pray your son had an amazing Birthday party!!

With a peaceful spirit, I end this letter in the Precious Name of Jesus…..

Dear Mr. Ramos and Staff,

Thank you for your willingness to give up your time on a Saturday to teach life dkills to our foster care teens. The information they received will assist them on their own journey toward adulthood. I have enclosed copies of the comments forms we received back for your information.

It was a pleasure meeting you, Sherry, (and “the crew) and I look forward to working with you in the future. I will definitely use this program again and I will probably schedule the Financial Management class for June or July. Thanks again – it was a pleasure working with you and your staff.

Dear Mr. Ramos

On behalf of our patients and their families here at the Duke Pediatrics HIV clinic, I wanted to thank you and the entire H.O.M.E. organization for the generous donation for our clinic gathering in December. We are so grateful and appreciative of your support to our patients. These families are fighting a very difficult disease and they’re grateful to know that someone has taken the time to remember them. With your help we were able to serve over seventy people at this event: approximately 20 adolescents, 15 children, and their families; along with staff.

Thank you

January 7, 2011:

Good Morning Mr. Ramos.

Peace & Blessings to you.  I simply wanted to take an opportunity to let you know that I sincerely appreciate what it is that your organization is doing for the youth and young adult population within the Fredericksburg community.  I watched your segment on Comcast, and felt proud that there is an organization that is focusing on the health and well-being of our younger generation.

As a HIV/AIDS Outpatient Medical Case Manager, it saddens me that I am still receiving newly diagnosed clients (ages 18-21) who believes that their disease was transmitted by drinking out of someone else’s cup.  I often wonder how HIV Prevention Education is being dispersed within our community.

I work with some amazing Infectious Disease Physicians and I know that the Healthcare system truly cares for the health of everyone, yet, the numbers of newly infected clients are continuing to rise dramatically. My experiences as an HIV/AIDS professional for many years has set the precedent within my heart that we (as leaders of the community, mothers, fathers, Healthcare providers, educators) MUST take ownership and accountability in reaching all age groups that may be at risk.  As I often say, “Once they are referred to me…..its ALREADY too late.”

Again, I just wanted to share with you that it was an honor to see your compassion for such an at-risk group. May our Lord continue to give favor to your organization.

With Warmest Regards,

Dear Ozzy, Liz, Sherry, and Friends at H.O.M.E.

We cannot thank you enough for you continued support of our program! Firstly, a huge thank you to Sherry and family for delivering the presents right to the party room! What an enormous help that was this year! (And, if this is possible for future years…I think a tradition I would like to start!)

Secondly, with all that you do, we just need to express how grateful we are for the continued donations of so many presents for our families. We know, for many, the presents we provide are the only ones they will receive, and they save most of them for Christmas morning. It is very special.

We were thrilled you were able to join us this year at the party…and especially thrilled to meet the newest little philanthropist! Izabella Venus Ramos. We wish you a very healthy and happy holiday season.
